Full Guide
Alright, so for those of you ready with the mob to burn down my windmill, hear me out. Ever since I first had my eyes on Grux in Paragon I knew he was meant for greatness, a hero with such a strong control kit should not be locked inside a box called "Jungle/Offlane only" and be expanded upon to be used to change the pace of the duo lane! You might think I am crazy and while that may be true, I've tried and tested this idea for so long that I definitely think this is a functional guide. It offers a tanky friend who adds a lot of utility for the Carry that will make their laning phase such an easy deal, not worrying about the pressure of their opposition. With no further ado, let's get into it!Part 1: Early Game 00:00-10:00
Our good old friend Guardian Crest will be our Crest for this build, going directly into
Leafsong due to it's Active - Phantom Rush which gives yourself and allies +50% Movement Speed for 4 seconds. This will allow you to catch up to whomever you are chasing down with your squad with ease and removes the fear factor of your enemies getting away scott-free. But before that, let's set ourselves up for success! We start out with
Galaxy Greaves as the ZeroG Passive allows you to get to a lot of places much easier with the increased jump height from 100 ZeroG stacks which you get my moving. Since Grux does this a lot it makes it easy for him to for an example jump on high ground for a rotation that's much quicker than going all around for a way into the Jungle via the obvious routes. Also hard to pass on some Physical Armor, Magical Armor, Base Mana Regeneration and Ability Haste for the Early Game. Next we wanna counter any healing from passing by in which we go for the
Tainted Bastion Which with it's Blighted Veil Passive reduces Healing by 40% after receiving Magical Damage and that's definitely going to happen during our early skirmishes.
Part 2: Mid Game 10:00-25:00
It's now we really put our efforts into our defenses to allow us to be a damage sponge for your team during objectives and teamfights and the only possible answers are Wardens Faith and
Crystalline Cuirass. They both boast amazing increases to your Physical- and Magical Defense where Wardens Stalwart Passive reduces damage from Critical Strikes by 15% and Crystalline has the Volatile passive which makes pulses of energy around you dealing 20 +3% of your Maximum Health Magical Damage to all enemies around you and that goes well with the aggression you desire for any kind of situation!
Part 3: Late Game 25:00+
The last item you should build is definitely up to what you are up against and I can only give simple examples for now as I am still learning to understand the items at a deeper level than going "Recommended":
Is your opposing side full of tankyness like having a Riktor or a Steel as a Support with a Sevarog on Offlane, please go Viper that reduces Physical Armor by 5% everytime you deal damage up to 6 stacks of it which is pretty hard hitting!
Wanna hit a little bit harder? Augmentation is here to help with it's True Strikes Passive making your next basic attack after using an ability deal +60% bonus True Damage for 6 seconds!
You wanna be even CHONKIER?! Sure thing, we can always slap a Raiment of Renewal on the bad boy and his Maximum Health will skyrocket AND regenerate your Health by equal to 1% of your Bonus Health
This is my second build on the site, if you want more unconventional Supports and their builds then I hope you stick around because I got plans for even more combinations that will make you tilt your head a bit, laugh and then maybe even try it out. I love Grux and what he brings to the table so come see for yourself how fun it is being a big wall for your Carry that never falls! -WuffieGG
